Debra K. Hosmer

CARTHAGE – Debra K. Hosmer, 63, of Alexandria Street, passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening, December 12, 2023, at the Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown.

Debra will be cremated and per her wishes, her services will be private.

Debra was born on March 28, 1960, in Carthage, New York to the late William & Betty (Hedden) Gibson. She graduated from Carthage High School in 1978. She was primarily a homemaker and a caregiver for her brother, Tiger.

On April 15, 2008, she married Norman R. Hosmer. Mr. Hosmer died on April 28, 2018.

She is survived by her children, Rebecca Handle, Robert (Cara) Hosmer, Virginia; and Jerry (Cathleen) Hosmer, Watertown; her siblings, Richard Gibson, Francis “Tiger” Gibson, Dennis Gibson, and Billy Gibson. She is also survived by her several grandchildren, Kristen Hosmer, Alexia Broyles, Aidan Houck, Abygail Hosmer, Sabrina Hosmer, Katelyn Hosmer, Blake Handle, and Bridgette Handle, and her very first great-grandchild, Zayden Curcio, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Debra enjoyed reading and creating plastic canvases. She also loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
