HARRISVILLE Sharon Phillips, 74, formerly of Marshey Settlement Road, died Wednesday morning, October 18, 2017 at Clifton Fine Hospital, where she had been a long term resident.
Sharon was born on May 14, 1943 in Harrisville, New York, a daughter of the late Clifton and Albertine Hathway Weaver. She graduated from Harrisville Central School. On April 16, 1966 she married Vance C. Phillips in Harrisville. She held various jobs throughout her life, but due to her husbands military service, was primarily a homemaker.
She enjoyed Cary Grant movies, fishing, Alan Jackson music, and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by four children, Scott (Autumn) Phillips of Pitcairn; Mickey Buster (Robin) Phillips of Brasher Falls; Karen (Jerry) Maples of Grand Bay, Alabama; Crystal (Michael) Mielnicki of Fulton; two brothers, Allen (Anne) Weaver of Boonville; Wayne (Anne) Weaver of Harrisville; 19 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her husband, Vance, who died on April 14, 2014; four brothers, Rick, Jack, Peter, Sonny; and four sisters, Marcia, Rose, Gloria, and Betty.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2017 from 11-1 PM at Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 500 State St., Carthage. A funeral service will immediately follow the calling hours at 1 PM in the Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Harrisville Cemetery.
Donations in Sharons memory may be made to Clifton Fine Hospital, PO Box 10, Star Lake, NY 13690, for the compassionate care they gave her during her stay there.
