Sharon L Fowler

April 29, 1946 — May 12, 2017

Gouverneur- On Friday, May 12, 2017, Sharon L. Fowler age, 71, formerly of 275 West Barney Street, said " so long for now" to her loving family and friends. Sharon died at the Canton Potsdam Hospital. Sharon was born on April 29, 1946 to the late Earl and Audrey (Rickett) Klock.
She was the oldest of six children, Earl F. (Deb) Klock, Carol Courts, Cheryl (Terry) Emrich, Kevin (Brenda) Klock, and Amber (Mark) Clarke. She also had several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Sharon grew up in Gouverneur, graduated from Gouverneur High School where she met the love of her life, Harold J. Fowler. Mr. Fowler died in 2015. The couple married June 27, 1964, by The Reverend Stanley Brown. They lived in Hailesboro, NY for 34 years. Their marriage was to last 50 special and eventful years. The couple had no children.
Sharon held different employment positions in and around the Gouverneur area. Her last employment was at Wellesley Island State Park Office as and Clerk Administrator, she retired in 2011.
The couples were snow birds from Clayton, NY to Homosassa, Florida for 15 years. Both enjoyed each other and traveling, fishing, casinos, but most of all coming home to family and friends.
Mrs. Fowler's wishes were to be cremated, there will be no services. In her memory donations can be made to Hospice of St. Lawrence County or The Wounded Warrior Foundation, P.O. Arrangements are being handled by the Northridge Cremation Chapel, owned and operated by Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service Inc., located on the Town Line Road in Philadelphia, NY.
