Ronald Moore

Carthage - Ronald Moore, 87, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 30th, 2024.

Ronald was born on August 20th, 1937, to the late Robert and Marjorie (Snyder) Moore. He graduated from Sodus Central School and attended Clarkson University. 

Ronald married Janice Wangerin on July 1st, 1961. They were happily married for over 63 years at the time of his passing.

Ronald served in the Army National Guard for 27 years before his retirement. He also owned and operated the former ABC McCleary in Carthage, NY. 

He was a member of the #1762 Elks Lodge in Carthage. He enjoyed spending his time gardening and reading. Most of all, he loved to be surrounded by his family, especially his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife, Janice; his children, Jennifer Gukelberger of Bedford, NH, Holly Moore of Carthage, and JoAnn Fox of Carthage; twelve grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.

Ronald is predeceased by his parents, Robert and Marjorie; a son, Robert Moore; and a sister, Elna Rosenthal.
