Robert E Rogers

Carthage- Robert E. "Bob" Rogers, 76, of 1045 West Street, and formerly of 600 South Washington Street, died on Tuesday, May 09, 2017 at the Samaritan Medical Center. He was born on March 9, 1941 in Carthage to Milton and Velma Price Rogers.
He married Joyce Marilyn Marie Jones on July 27, 1963 at the former Nazarene Church on Spring St. in Carthage. Joyce died on September 9, 2013. He worked for the Carthage Augustinian Academy as a Custodian in his earlier years and Ames Department Store at night, and then he retired from the Fairview Cemetery in Carthage, many people will remember him on his lawn mower, and he was always down at the cemetery.
Mr. Rogers is survived by his children and their spouses; Rhonda & Charles Monaghan, Carthage, Tina & Tim Susice, Watertown; Bobie & Kent Hausner, Syracuse; Lisa & Don Bristlin, Aberdeen, MD and Cindy & Gregory Jones, Grimesland, NC. His grandchildren; Johnny and his companion Alicyn, Jamie and her husband Ryan, Dustin, Rockie, Dillon, Shantel and her husband Luis, Shawna, Shannel, Shania, Brandon, Chuckie and Kaitlyn and her great grandchildren, Jhazmyn, Christian, Sierra, Dylan, Steven, Carter, Serena, Matty, Marilyn, Alimae, and Jocelyn.
He is predeceased by his wife, Joyce, a brother, Freddie Rogers, a sister, Beverly Lagrow, a grand-daughter, Jennifer Seymour, and a grandson, Tony Bristlin.
Calling Hours will be held on Friday, May 12, 2017 from 1:00pm-3:00pm at the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service Inc., located at 500 State Street in Carthage. A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00pm in the Chapel of the Funeral Home with his son in law, the Rev. Gregory George Jones, officiating.
