Robert E Houghtaling

Evans Mills- Robert E Houghtaling, age 75, died Monday, January 11, 2016 at the Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown, NY. Mr. Houghtaling was born April 20, 1940 in Watertown, NY. He is the son of the late Gordon and the late Evelyn (Kelley) Houghtaling. He attended Lafargeville School. He married Rosemary Dalton on August 17, 1985 in Watertown, New York.
He was a Truck Driver for the Budweiser Beer Company, retired from the Baldwinsville Branch in 1989 due to health issues.
He was a member of the American Legion Post # 673 in Black River, New York. He was a lifetime member of the Teamsters.
He is survived by his wife: Rosemary (Dalton) Houghtaling, Evans Mills; and his two daughters: Tina Smith and April Williams of Brownville, NY; a brother, Leonard Kelley, Maryland. He is also survived by 5-grandchildren and 12-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by a brother, Ralph, a sister, Grace, and a grandson Brandon Ostman.
There will be no calling hours of funeral services will be held privately by the family. Arrangements are being handled by the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc. located at 500 State Street in Carthage.
