West Carthage - Robert “Bob” P. Zecher, 69, passed away on February 6, 2025, while at Carthage Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation where he had been a patient.

A Graveside Service with burial will take place at 11:00am on Saturday, May 3, 2025 where he will be laid to rest at Swinburne Cemetery in Deer River. Following the service, there will be a Celebration of Life held at the West Side Bar & Grille.

Bob was born on August 11, 1955, in West Carthage to the late Richard P. and Arletha M. (Millard) Zecher. He graduated from Carthage Central School in 1973. Bob worked for many years at a Carthage service station, as a self-employed carpenter, and a Farmhand around the North Country.

Bob had a knack for working with his hands, had a love for woodworking and enjoyed being outdoors. Any spare time he had, he was in the woods hunting or going fishing. 

Bob is survived by his brothers, Richard Zecher of Buffalo, Calvin (Kathi) Zecher of Watertown, Michael (JoAnne) Zecher of Canastota, and John (Cheryl) Zecher of Gloucester, VA; and many nieces and nephews.
