Richard L. Swan

Apex, N.C. - Richard Swan, formerly of Carthage, NY, passed away peacefully on April 26th, 2024 surrounded by his family.

A graveside service will be held at Hillside Cemetery in Champion, NY, at 3:00 p.m. on May 10th, 2024, where Richard will be laid to rest alongside his wife, Dawn Swan.

Richard was born on February 18, 1947, in Carthage, NY to the late, Laurell and Dorothy Swan. As a family man, he was the perfect role model for his children and grandchildren. He was married to Dawn Swan for over 53 years before she passed away on April 10, 2020. Richard retired as plant manager in the agriculture industry and has spent the past 20 years in North Carolina enjoying his time well spent with those he loved.

He is lovingly remembered by his sons, Kevin Swan (Paige), Jeffrey Swan (Melissa) and Joseph Swan; grandchildren, Ethan, Carly, Nolan, Caitlin, Tyler, Drew, Mia, B, Alexandra and Cole; brother, David Swan (Barbara); sister, Carol Swan; and nieces, Ashley and Amber.

In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial contributions can be donated to Duke Cancer Center.
