Richard McNamara

COPENHAGEN-Richard James "Dick" McNamara, 77, of Copenhagen, passed away peacefully February 21, 2016 among family, after a short battle with cancer. He was born on February 5, 1939 in Watertown, NY where he lived most of his life.
We was a graduate of Syracuse University. He worked for, and retired from, J H Marsh McLennan. He was predeceased by his wife Trudi, his brother Patrick, and parents Maurice and Helen Backus McNamara. He enjoyed get-togethers at the "Top of the Mac" with his family and friends. He is survived by his children Amy Williamson (Lawton), Annie Korte, Kathryn Cooper (Bruce), Michael McNamara (Aimee), sister-in-law Cathy McNamara (Patrick), grandchildren, Patrick McNamara, Carlie McNamara, Nathaniel Cooper, nieces Kayla McNamara, Sara McNamara, aunt Carolyn Pickert, cousins Bev Hardie, Daphne Pickert, Philip Backus, Rus Backus, and many other loved family members and friends.
Calling hours will be on Monday, February 29, 2016 from 2:00-5:00pm at the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service the Copenhagen Chapel located at 10229 Washington St, Copenhagen, NY 13626. Funeral services will be on Tuesday March 1, 2016 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church at 11:00am in Copenhagen. Burial will take place in the spring. www.lundyfuneralhome.com
