Richard C. Doolittle

COPENHAGEN- Richard C. Doolittle, 80, passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at home. He was born August 11, 1935 in Rutland, NY, the son of the late Carlton J. and Mildred (Liscomb) Doolittle. He was married to Kathryn Eddy on September 4, 1965 at St. Mary's Church in Copenhagen, NY.
Richard worked for the Town of Rutland for 38 years until he retired in December of 2001. He was a hard-working man who enjoyed an occasional Pabst Blue Ribbon during the Yankees games with Mocha on his lap, playing cards, breakfasts with Sue, and spending time with his family- especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Kathryn, his daughter and son-in-law: Kelly and Charles Manuli, his daughter: Renee Eisel, his son and daughter-in-law: Carl and Hope Doolittle, his grandchildren: Nathan and Christa Eisel, Danielle Eisel, Emily, Katie and Heather Dawson, Tiana and Drew Witham, Cole and Wyatt Doolittle along with 4 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his sisters: Violet See, Madelyn Buckley, Evelyn Braden and Shirley Staie and his brother: Lloyd (Pickles) Doolittle.
Arrangements are being handled by the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc. Located at 500 State Street in Carthage. A visitation will be held 5:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, Dec. 23, at the Lundy Chapel Located at 10229 Washington St. Copenhagen. The funeral will be held at the same location on Thursday, December 24th at 11:00am. Burial will be held privately by the family.
