Patricia O'Brien

CARTHAGE - Patricia Strife O'Brien, 55, 220 North Clinton St., died late Sunday evening, at Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Born in Carthage on August 15, 1959 the daughter of Robert & Jane Holliday Strife. Raised on West St. and attended the Carthage Augustinian Academy before graduating from the Carthage Central High School with the Class of 1977. She married Donald O'Brien on St. Patrick's Day, March 17, 1989. Patty was a very positive, active person, who was a dedicated volunteer for the Church. She was a longtime childcare provider for many families in the area.
She is survived by her children; Cameron Strife, Connecticut, Hannah O'Brien Mono, Carthage, Quinn O'Brien, Carthage and Sean O'Brien of Tug Hill. Also surviving are her siblings; Diane Gilbert, California, Pamela Nabewaniec, Carthage, Janet Delosh, Carthage, Susan Long, Liverpool, Steven Strife, Ohio and James Strife, Colorado along with her grandson, Gabriel Strife.
A Funeral Mass will be held at the St. James Catholic Church in Carthage on Wednesday, April 15th at 12:00 PM with the Rev. George F. Maroun, Pastor, officiating. Visitation will be held at the Church for an hour prior to the service, from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM.
