WEST CARTHAGE – Michael A. Curran, 66, died peacefully on December 4, 2024, at the Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown, NY.
The burial will be held at the convenience of the family in the West Carthage Cemetery.
Born at the Nyack Hospital in New York on December 27th, 1958, the son of the Late Robert Curran and Helen (Sandford) Younts. He grew up in New City, a hamlet in NY, and later graduated High School from Clarkstown Central School District. He later attended SUNY Delhi where he met his wife, Patricia.
He married his longtime companion, Patricia R. Burdick in 1996. She was a farmer, who was self-employed in the horse supplies business, and the couple raised miniature horses together. He loved spending time on the farm riding his John Deere Tractor. He was employed by Caskinette Ford Dealership in West Carthage, where he worked in the parts department. He and his wife loved traveling to Gettysburg together.
Michael is survived by his mother, Helen Younts, Lowville; his aunt Ruth Curran, New City, NY; and several cousins. He is predeceased by his father Robert Curran, his wife Patricia who died on June 22, 2009, and a sister-in-law Peggy Burdick.
