Louise H Odell

UTICA- Louise H. Odell, 91, formerly of 9 Lower Woods Road, died on Sunday, January 19, 2015 at St. Luke's Hospital in Utica. She was born on November 9, 1923 in Turin, NY to Charles and Mary Rodman Hoffman. She graduated from Lowville Free Academy. She was a primarily a homemaker.
She married Robert W. Odell on June 10, 1943 in Turin, NY. Reverend Odell died on August 22, 1992.
She had been living with her daughter and son-in-law, Roberta and David Askew, of Sauquoit, since June 2013.
She is survived by two daughters, Bonnie Mitchell, Whitesboro; Roberta Askew, Sauquoit, NY; a sister, Nancy Meyers, Lyons Falls. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by a sister, Altha Hellinger, and a son, Robert Odell, Jr.
She enjoyed writing poetry, gardening, and reading.
A graveside service will be held in the Turin Cemetery in the spring. Arrangements are being handled by the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., located at 500 State Street Carthage NY 13619
