GREAT BEND - Linold Hall, 85, 33601 New York State Route 3, died Sunday, September 13, 2015, at home, under the care of his family and Hospice of Jefferson County.
Born on August 9, 1930 in Cannelton, Indiana, the son of Linold and Amy Brock Hall, Sr., he attended school in Myers, Indiana and briefly served in the United States Army. He married Roselyn M. Hall in West Carthage on October 11, 1951. After his military service, he was employed by the Crown Zellerbach Corporation in Carthage for 21 years, retiring in 1978. He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was involved with the Green Thumb program for many years. He was a member of the Great Bend Fire Department and the Grange.
Mr. Hall is survived by his wife, Roselyn, his son, Gregory, Great Bend, his daughter and son in law, Regina & Richard Boise, Newark, NY and his daughter and son in law, Michele and Tony Helm, Great Bend. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his son, Linold Hall, Jr., who died in 1973, his half brother, William A. Hall and one great granddaughter.
Visitation will be held at the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 500 State St., Carthage, on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 from 1:00 - 4:00 PM. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, Great Bend.
The family has requested that memorial donations be made to the Woolworth Memorial United Methodist Church, 25120 County Rd 197, Great Bend, NY 13643, Hospice of Jefferson County, 1398 Gotham St., Watertown, NY 13601 or the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org/donate.
