Leo D. Patchin

WEST CARTHAGE – Leo D. Patchin, 67, 20448 Co. Rte. 45, died on December 5, 2023, at the Wynn Hospital in Utica, NY where he had been a patient for a short time.

He will be buried in the New St. James Cemetery in Carthage on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at 2:00 pm.

Born in Carthage, on March 10, 1956, the son of Claude & Barbara Rounds Patchin, he was a graduate of Carthage Central High School.  Leo held many jobs over the years, but most recently with the Maintenance Department of the Carthage Area Hospital.

He is survived by his children and their spouses; Amy Jo (Scott Anderson) Patchin, Carthage, David Patchin, Harrisville, Becky (Wade) Coutermarsh, Hammond, Joshua (Raymond) Mono-Wong, Connecticut, Jeremiah (Debbie) Mono, New Hampshire and Jolene (Matt) Pate, Carthage, along with his grandchildren; Michael, Jacob, Christopher, Brooke, Hailee, Loralee, Lucas, Averi, Iyla, Gavin, Ava, Carter, Zachary and Evan and a great-grandson Ryker Jakob. Also surviving are his siblings; Neil (Sue) Patchin, Donna Patchin, Gail (Ron) Zeh, and Claudia (David) Barlow, and several nieces and nephews. His dog Gigi, his roommate, and his best friend, Bill Blake.

He was predeceased by his wife Jana Patchin in 2016 and mother of his children, Cindy Piddock.

Leo enjoyed fishing and hunting and was an outdoorsman.
