James E. Taylor Sr.

Watertown- James E. Taylor, Sr., 93, of Bainbridge, Georgia died peacefully on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at the Carthage Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation in Carthage, NY with his loving family at his side.

Mr. Taylor will be laid to rest alongside his wife at the Sherman-Williams Cemetery in Attapulgus, Georgia on Saturday, March 15, 2025.

He was born on July 30, 1931, in Attapulgus, Georgia to the late Lee & Alzura (McGriff) Taylor. He served honorably in the United States Army from 1951-1953. Mr. Taylor was a Mt. Moriah High School Graduate, Attapulgus, Georgia. He married Annie Pearl Wade. Mrs. Taylor died on May 18, 2019. He retired from the Seaway National Bank.

Survivors include his son, James E. & his spouse Margarita Taylor, Jr., of Panama; two daughters, Jennifer L. & her spouse Connel L Rounds, Midway, GA; Madeline M. & her spouse Aaron P. Abraham, of Watertown, NY; and his sister, Mamie Austin. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Tracy Green Foster, Lavonda Taylor, LaTricia Rounds, Lashonda Pearson, James Taylor III., Emmanuel Bartholomew, Jeremiah Rounds, Allannah Rounds, Elijah Bartholomew, many nieces, nephews, and friends.

James loved to go fishing and spend time outdoors. He was an Usher member of the Our Lady of The Sacred Heart Church.
