Helen A. Moody

Watertown – Helen A. Moody, 83, formerly of Copenhagen, NY died Friday morning at the Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown, NY with her loving family at her side.

Born in Brooklyn, NY on December 6, 1941, the daughter of the late Charles & Helen Winchock (Paris) Moody. She married Nelson T. Moody, Sr. on May 30th, 1961, in Watertown. Mr. Moody died on June 11, 2010. 

Mrs. Moody along with her husband Nelson were employed by Reithoffer Amusement Shows where she served in the office personal department. 

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Nelson & June Moody Jr., Adams, Laura Alberry, Watertown; Richard & Rebecca Moody, Watertown; Debra & Gary Alberry, Copenhagen; Tina Moody and Vincent Knipes, Watertown; and Allison and Claude Loomis, Watertown. Also surviving are her siblings, Honey Palumbo, NY; Michael Paris, NY; Patty Nardone, CT; Arlene Iorizzo, NY; and Marie Caldrone, NY; Liz Coogan, NY; Marlene Shove, NY; Charlene Paris; Joan Giambalvo, Long Island, NY; along with her 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Nelson of 49 years, her three brothers, Charles, William, and Johnny, a sister Lorraine and an infant son, David Moody. 

Helen’s hobbies included crocheting & crafts, she enjoyed cooking and traveling with her husband. Spending time with her family was her absolute favorite thing to do. 

The burial will be held privately by her family.
