Great Bend- Gerald H. Brotherton, 78, of 33942 Jackson II Road died on Friday, January 16, 2015 at his home.
He was born on April 7, 1936 in Black River, to Arthur and Mildred Ferguson Brotherton. He attended school in West Carthage. He Married Beverly Savage on April 3, 1982. He served in the United States Army National Guard and worked for St. Regis paper mill as a Fork Lift Operator.
He was a member of the American Legion Bassett-Baxter Post #789, Carthage Elks Lodge BPOE #1762, Great Bend Fire Department; he loved to go for long rides and hunting.
He is survived by a son, Gerald and his wife Linda Brotherton, Plessis; a brother, Robert Brotherton Sr., Herrings, a sister in law, Mildred Myers, Alex Bay; and several nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his wife, Beverly in 2013.
A Graveside Service will be held in the spring in the Sunnyside Cemetery in Great Bend with the Reverend Linda J. Harris officiating.
Arrangements are being handled by the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service Inc. Located at 500 State Street in Carthage, NY 13619.
