George E. Vincent

MASSENA George E. Vincent II, Mighty Black Wolf of the Huron Tribe, died on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Gouverneur Hospital.
George was born in Lake Placid, New York on December 7, 1952, a son of the late George Edmond and Jeanine (LaGoy) Vincent. He graduated from high school and went on to receive an Associates Degree from North Country Community College in Saranac Lake. He was employed as a Mental Health Advocate at various places in Northern New York. He married Ursula Anne (Williams) on February 18, 1978. Ursula died on December 20, 1996. He spent many years with a companion, Bonnie Newell.
He enjoyed comic books and looked forward to his monthly comic book in the mail. He was a Chicago Cubs Fan.
He is survived by two children, Arion and his wife Roseanna Vincent of Copenhagen, NY; Shane Williams of Saranac Lake, NY; three step-children, Megan Whipple of Plattsburgh, NY; Shawn Whipple of Arizona; Walt Whipple of Albany, NY; two sisters, Amelia Vincent and her family of Lake Placid, NY; Jeanine Vincent and family of Plattsburgh, NY; as well as eight grandchildren. He is predeceased by his first wife, Ursula, as well as an infant daughter, Athena Vincent.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 from 4-6 PM at the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service Inc., located at 500 State Street in Carthage, NY 13619. A memorial service will immediately follow at 6:00 PM in the Chapel of the Funeral Home.
