CARTHAGE Gary E. Miller, 73, of 522 F. Kieff Drive, passed away on Friday night, April 19, 2019 at Samaritan Medical Center.
Gary was born on September 20, 1945 in Watertown, New York, son of the late Edward H. and Catherine (Putnam) Miller. He attended Watertown High School. He worked as a contractor, specializing in roofing, siding & sheet metal until his retirement.
On May 21, 1971 he married Elsie M. Shaw in Watertown, New York. Elsie passed away on August 19, 1995.
He later married Kay Roberts on October 2, 1999.
He loved hunting, fishing and classic cars.
He is survived by four children, Michele (Steven) Lauber of Lavaca, AR; Catherine (Kenneth) Eisenhauer of Carthage, NY; Rebecca Williams of Carthage, NY; and Vicki Edwards of Clarksville, TN; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by sisters, Sonya Perkins of Chaumont, NY and Cathy Zimmer of Evans Mills, NY; and two brothers, Edward Miller and Roma Miller, both of Adams Center, NY.
He is predeceased by his grandson, Kyle Shaw, who died on March 29, 2019; three sisters, June Jeffers, Loretta Averill, and Marie Madill; and a brother, Robert Miller.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 from 3-7 PM at Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 500 State St., Carthage. A funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel at 7 PM with the Rev. Canon Samuel P. Lundy officiating.
