COPENHAGEN
- Frances R. Hebert, 89, passed away on Friday, March 29, 2019 at St. Josephs Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Frances was born on March 27, 1930 in Chaumont, NY, a daughter to the late Ernest and Winifred (Reff) Reasoner. She graduated from Cape Vincent Central School in 1948. She went on to work as an operator for New York Telephone from 1948 to 1952. In 1952, she became the bookkeeper for the family farm in Copenhagen.
On June 14, 1952, Frances married Sylvio A. Hebert in St. Patricks Church, Watertown. The couple operated a dairy farm in Copenhagen until their retirement in 1987, when they turned the business over to their son, Ronald. Sylvio passed away on October 5, 1998.
She enjoyed going to church, sewing, reading, word search, baking, mowing the lawn, but most of all she loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchild. She was a member of St. Marys Church, and she also attended a widows group once a month.
Frances is survived by her children, Ronald Hebert, Copenhagen; Dennis (Juli) Hebert, Copenhagen; Robert Hebert, Copenhagen; LuAnn (Jon) Ostrowski, Copenhagen; Nancy (Shawn) Randall, Cortland; five grandchildren, Hiedi (Caleb) Santamour; Jeremy Berrus; Taylor Berrus; Andrew Randall; Paige Randall; 2 step-grandchildren, Amber Coulombe; Tyler Ostowski; one great grandchild, Levi Santamour; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is predeceased by four brothers, Kenneth Reasoner; Alan Reasoner; Herman Reasoner; Harley Reasoner; a sister, Lucille Mulzoff; a grandson, Connor in 2018.
A funeral mass will be held on April 2, 2019 at 11AM in St. Marys Church, Copenhagen with Father Donald Robinson officiating. The burial will take place in the spring. A reception will immediately follow the service at the Copenhagen Fire Hall.
