Eulena Russell

Carthage - Eulena Russell, 75, of Spring St. passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 4th, 2024.

Eulena was born in Carthage on October 5th, 1948, to the late Samuel and Marjorie (Clark) Gerber. She graduated from Carthage Central School. Eulena worked for the Carthage Library for a number of years.

Eulena married Gentry Russell on October 12th, 1968 in Carthage, and they were happily married for 55 years at the time of her passing.

Eulena is survived by her loving husband, Gentry Russell; her daughters, Tamara (Ross) Russell-Arndt, and Tara (Andrew) Staab; her grandchildren, Bosco, Blaine, and Bennett Staab; a brother, Lynn Gerber; and a sister, Bonnie VanDewalker.

She is predeceased by her parents, Samuel and Marjorie; a brother, Donald Gerber; and a sister, Nancy Gerber.

Eulena was a kind and generous woman who was extremely devoted to her Christian faith.

Per her wishes, services will be privately held by the family.
