Edwin F. Bridge

CARTHAGE Edwin F. Bridge, 81, of Old State Route 3, died on April 17, 2018 at SUNY Upstate Medical Center.
Edwin was born on November 2, 1936 in Carthage, New York, a son of the late Glenn and Ester (Forkey) Bridge. He was a high school graduate and received a Bachelors Degree from Rochester Institute of Technology. He served four years in the United States Navy as a Submarine Mechanic and four years in the United States Airforce as a Jet Mechanic. Edwin was employed by the New York Airbrake in Watertown, New York for over 30 years before medically retiring.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and mechanic work. He also had a love for the town of Oswegatchie where he was born.
He is survived by five children, Marty Bridge of Deer River, NY; Patricia (Jeff) Covey of Carthage, NY; Patrick (Angel Ashley) McGillicuddy of Watertown, NY; Stephen Babcock of Carthage, NY; Billy Ray Hornsby of Watertown; nine grandchildren, Angel; Ashley; Jeffrey Allen; Sonia; Stephen; Ryan; Rebecca; McKenna; and Kylee. He is also survived by a two nephews, Eric Bridge and Gordan Myers and one niece.
Edwin is predeceased by a son, Frederick Babcock. He predeceased by several brothers, Gordan, George, Arnold, and a sister Rosemary.
Edwin has chosen to donate his body to the SUNY Upstate Anatomical Donation Program. No public services will be held.
