Dennis served in the United States Army & the Navy Reserves with 29 years of dedicated service to his country, honorably retiring as a Lieutenant Commander. He served God and the community as a former St. Rita’s Catholic Church member in Deferiet, NY, and a proud current member of the Knights of Columbus. He also worked a well-traveled career as a chemical engineer, primarily in the pulp and paper industry, bringing him and his family to Mobile, AL; Georgetown, SC; Gulf Breeze, FL; Westminster, CO; and finally settling in Manchester, NH in 1992.
He thoroughly enjoyed world travel, making many trips throughout Europe, and Central and South America. He captained many cross-country road trip journeys with his family. His love for music was great with a majority ear’s focus tuned to the Beatles, Bob Dylan, and Jimmy Buffett to whom he was an official member of the Parrotheads fan club. Some of his proudest musical moments were his attendance of both Woodstock ‘69 and ‘94 festivals, seeing Jimmy Buffett countless times and most recently seeing Paul McCartney at Fenway Park. He was a diehard fan of the NY Giants and later in life became a proud supporter of the New England Patriots, attending numerous Super Bowls to see both teams in action. However, what he cherished most was spending his retirement years close to his family and grandchildren, whom he loved dearly.
A celebration of life will be held privately by his family.
