CARTHAGE - Deborah L. Wood, 53, of Jackson II. Road, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at the Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown, New York.
Deborah was born on September 15, 1965 in Watertown, New York, a daughter of Frederick Fred and Betty (Rogers) Wilsie. In 1983, she graduated from Carthage High School. She married Kenneth Wood on June 10, 1989 at the Church of the Nazarene in Carthage.
Deborah was a bus driver for the Carthage Central School District until medically retiring in 2016. She enjoyed four-wheeling, being in the woods enjoying nature and the animals, and fishing on Lake Bonaparte.
She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Kenneth; her mother, Betty Wilsie; two children, Amanda and Kyle Wood; a sister, Brenda (David) Green and their children Mindy and David; as well as a brother, Ricky (Mary) Wilsie and their children Timmy, Brandi, and Jamie, all of Carthage.
Deborah is predeceased by her father, Frederick Fred Wilsie as well as a brother, Timothy John Wilsie who passed away on August 22, 1960.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, December 23, 2018 from 1- 4 PM at the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service Inc., located at 500 State Street in Carthage, NY 13619. No public funeral service will be held. Burial will be held in the spring.
