WATERTOWN
Daniel Eric Anderson (Dan the Man), 38, of Cook Road, Watertown, died in an automobile accident on Sunday evening, February 18, 2018.
Daniel was born on October 26, 1979 in El Paso, Texas, the son of John W. and Mary K. (West) Anderson. He was a self-employed contractor with amazing talent.
He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and trapping. He passed the love for the outdoors onto his son, Blake, as well. Their most recent ice fishing trip was their favorite; they shared heart-to-heart conversation and enjoyed every moment together. Dan loved to go four-wheeling and snowmobiling with his family; that was the kids favorite. He liked wood-working, camping and canoeing. He had a green thumb and loved his garden. He was the life of the party with infectious energy and he could make anyone laugh. He and his daughter, Caylie both share a love for music and could often be found singing along to songs together. Daniel also loved playing the drums. He enjoyed listening to audiobooks with his father as well as working on the family farm. It is without question that Daniels greatest passion in his life was being a dad. He loved tickling his kids, making them laugh and he cherished snuggles with his three year old son, Axle.
Daniel is survived by his three beloved children, Caylie, 16, Blake, 14, and Axle, 3; his soulmate and life partner, Jenn Eastman of Watertown; his father, John (Kirsten) Anderson of Watertown; two sisters, Nikki (Peter) Elliott of Scottsdale, Arizona; Jennifer (Matt) Flynn of Watertown; two brothers, John (Jenifer) Anderson of Henderson; Christopher (Lauren) Osborn of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He is predeceased by his mother, Mary; two uncles, Delmar Anderson and David Adams; his grandparents, John and Dorothy Anderson; and his monster bucks, furbearers and fish.
The family requests that donations in Daniels memory be made to 17075 Cook Road, Watertown, NY 13601. This money will be put into three separate accounts for the care of his children and supporting their extracurricular activities and future. It would be much appreciated as his children were his world.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 23, 2018 from 4-7 PM at Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 500 State St., Carthage. A funeral service will immediately follow in the Funeral Home Chapel at 7 PM with Pastor Barry Stewart officiating.
