Charles L. Monaghan

CARTHAGE - Charles “Croaky” L. Monaghan, 60, formerly of N. Washington Street passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at the Wynn Hospital in Utica, NY with his loving family by his side.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Lundy Funeral Home, located at 500 State Street in Carthage, NY 13619. A Memorial Service will be held following the calling hours at 4:00 pm in the Chapel with the Reverend Canon Samuel P. Lundy officiating.

Charles was born on February 21, 1964, in Watertown, New York, a son of the late Charles R. and Ida M. (Cooley) Monaghan. He graduated from Carthage High School.

He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include two children, Charles Monaghan of Carthage, and Kaitlyn Monaghan of Colorado; his siblings, Mike (Karen) Monaghan of Watertown, Marjorie (Ernie) Ross of South Carolina, Tina Davis of Philadelphia, Timothy Monaghan of Watertown, Alicia (John) Passage of Carthage, and Kimberly Woodside of Carthage; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his siblings, Cheryl Abromo, Vanessa Lafazia, Teri Monaghan, and Brenda Monaghan; a brother-in-law, Darren Woodside; and a nephew, Devin Dobransky.
