Beverly J. Hunneyman

October 28, 1928 — January 15, 2016

WATERTOWN- Beverly Jean Phinney Hunneyman, age 87, passed away January 15, 2016 at Samaritan Summit Village in Watertown where she had been a resident since it first opened. Before that she had spent several years at the nursing home in the former Mercy Hospital.
Thanks are being sent to all those who took such good care of her at both facilities. Beverly was quite happy at both places over the last years of her life. She loved playing Bingo, doing puzzles and enjoyed reading. Beverly was born to Frank and Edna Powers Phinney on October 28, 1928, graduated from West Carthage High School in 1945 and was married to Raymond F. Hunneyman on her birthday in 1945. Beverly, as part of the Phinney family, was a Mayflower descendant.
She lived all of her life in the Carthage area and was a homemaker. She is survived by her four children: Evelyn, Lynn, Marvin and Dolores as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Beverly is also survived by her older sister, Sylvia Phil who lives in Colorado. Her husband Ray: a brother, Fred; a sister, Isla; and a great granddaughter, Naomi died before her.
Following Beverly's wishes her body will be cremated with no calling hours or funeral at this time. There will be a spring burial and grave side service at the convenience of the family. Beverly will be buried next to her husband in the Fairview Cemetery in Carthage.
