Watertown- Beverley M. Johnson, 80, formerly of 127 Spring Ave, Watertown, New York died on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at the Hospice House of Jefferson County. She was born on June 2, 1935 in Greenville, Maine to James and Pauline Levigne Markey. She graduated from Lowville Central in 1953. She was a homemaker.
She married Franklin Johnson on August 29, 1953 at the Lowville Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband Frank, Watertown; three children, Franklin Johnson Jr., Syracuse; James and his wife Laurie Johnson, Pine Bush, NY; David and his wife Debra Johnson, Mannsville; she is also survived by six grandchildren, Chris. Christopher, Andrew, Amy, Breana, and Cassandra.
She is predeceased by her infant son, Darren Scott.
She was the hostess for many social gatherings and visiting pastors in the 1980's, she was a Sunday School Teacher, a Lay leader at church, she was on the Lewis County Board of Elections. She was an avid reader.
Calling Hours will be held on Sunday, May 8, 2016 at the Lundy Chapel located at 10229 Washington Street in Copenhagen from 4-7pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 9, 2016 at the River of Life Fellowship Church in Copenhagen at 11:00am with the Reverend George Gray, pastor of the church, officiating.
